Butterfly field trip.

Third grade went on their first field trip to Crab Orchard Wildlife Refuge.  We attended a presentation on Monarch Butterfly Migration.  The kids got to catch all sort of insects.  The objective was to catch Monarchs on their way to Mexico.  We actually caught 2 Monarchs.  Leyten and Michelangelo got to tag and set their Monarchs free.  In the spring we get to go to a website to see if they made it to Mexico.  The class was very excited (so was I)!
